This helps prevent recurrence of infection.<\/li><li class=\"pb-15\"><p class=\"bleu semibold\">Root canal retreatment:<\/p>It may be necessary to perform a new root canal treatment when previous therapy has not eliminated all traces of infection.<\/li><li class=\"pb-15\"><p class=\"bleu semibold\">Internal whitening :<\/p>A tooth that has suffered a trauma or a major infection may subsequently show a grayish color that affects its appearance. The endodontist can place a special paste inside the root canal system, which is left in place for a few days before removing it during a second procedure.
